Hey Guys,
Welcome to my new blog. Hope you all are doing good:)
Its been a long I haven`t Posted any DIY moreover Festive season is here thus I thought to share some DIYs for skincare with you guys.
In today`s busy and stressful life, I can totally understand how difficult is to get enough sleep and rest. Long working hours on computers, Late night sleep, Increasing skin issues, stress, All these factors leads to dark circles. In order to complete multiple tasks in a day we keep neglecting our skin and most importantly our eyes. We usually feel tired and lethargic which shows from our eyes thus it is important to look after our eyes as well.
This festive season gets rid of dark circles at home with these Easy DIYs. I would say Irrespective of festive season try these DIYs and look your best.
So without further ado, lets get started 🙂
POTATO MASK
This one is the most effective method to treat dark circles. Potato has natural bleaching agent which can help to lighten the under eye area. It also has vitamin C, vitamin A and starch to provide the required nourishment. Cooling property of potato helps to reduce puffiness and tiredness of eyes.
This is a very simple yet very effective home remedy. Definitely, you should try it.
HOW TO USE
Peel one potato, grate it and squeeze the juice out of it. Apply it on your eyes in a circular motion and leave it for 20 minutes. After 20 min wash it off with cool water. Use this mask daily until you get the required result.
You can use potato slices for the same but I prefer to use juice because you can continue your work while your mask is doing its job. Multitasking you know 😀
ALOE VERA UNDER EYE CREAM
We all are familiar with the goodness of Aloe Vera. I have a full blog on its uses you can check here Uses Of Aloe Vera. Aloe Vera`s Anti pigmentation and nourishing properties make it a perfect solution to treat an under eye problem. You can easily make an eye cream using Aloe Vera at home.
To make this eye cream, You will need
- Aloe Vera gel – 2 Tsp
- Vitamin E capsule – 2 capsule
- Sweet Almond Oil – 1 Tsp
HOW TO USE
Mix all the ingredients together to make a gel-like consistency cream. Apply this cream, gently massage it for good 2 min and leave it overnight.
Use this cream daily until you get the required result. You can store this cream in the refrigerator for about a week.
SWEET ALMOND OIL
Anti-Inflammatory and Antioxidant properties of almond oil help to lighten the dark circles and reduce puffiness. It also contains vitamin E and vitamin K, which keep your under eye skin nourished.
There is much evidence which proved almond oil works great to treat dark circles and pigmentation. The only thing which we need to take care of is, using pure and 100% organic sweet almond oil.
HOW TO USE
You can use almond oil for eyes in two different ways:-
- Sweet almond oil as a night mask:- You just need to take 2-3 drops of pure almond oil and apply it on your under eye area, gently massage it for 2-3 min and leave it overnight. Use almond oil daily, You will notice the visible difference in 2-3 weeks.
- Sweet almond oil as a night cream:- you can make your own under eye night cream using only two ingredients that is SWEET ALMOND OIL AND HONEY. Mix tsp of honey with the 5-6 drop of almond oil. Apply this cream on your under eye area and leave it overnight.
NOTE:– Using almond oil with honey can be little messy and sticky so make sure you tie your hair and cover your pillow with something to avoid staining.
ALMOND AND LEMON MASK
Lemon we know has a natural bleaching property thus we use lemon to lighten skin tone. Almond on the other hand also helps to lighten skin tone along with providing required moisture to eye area which is very important as our under eye area is extremely delicate and I would not suggest to apply lemon directly to your eyes.
NOTE:- Some people can be allergic to lemon especially those who have sensitive skin. It can cause irritation and redness. Avoid lemon if you are allergic to it and use rose water instead of lemon.
To make this mask you will need
- Almond – 10-15
- lemon – 2-3 drops
HOW TO USE:- Soak almond in water overnight. In the morning peel them and grind them to make a paste. Mix 2-3 drops of lemon to it and mix well. Apply this mask around your eyes and leave it for 20-25 minutes. Rinse with cold water. Use this mask daily to see a significant change in your dark circles.
SOME TIPS
- Drink enough water at-least 3-4 litres a day. Staying hydrated is the most important part to maintain a healthy body and skin.
- Do not rub your eyes. If you feel itchy take a cotton cloth and rub it gently don`t be harsh with your eyes as it is the most sensitive part of our body
- Include protein in your diet. Have a healthy diet, your skin reflects what you eat. So be careful while choosing your food.
- Have proper sleep of 8 hrs and if possible take naps
